Ingredients
- Ingredients:
- 2 C sugar
- 2 C flour
- 2 sticks butter
- 4 Tbs cocoa
- 1 C water
- 1/2 C buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp soda
- 2 tsp vanilla
- Icing:
- 1 stick of butter
- 4 Tbs cocoa
- 6 Tbs milk
- 1 box of powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 C pecans

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Sift together sugar and flour. Melt butter, cocoa and water. Bring to a boil. Pour over flour mix and stir. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Bake in a 9 X 13 pan for 20 minutes.
Icing: In a double boiler, melt butter, cocoa, and milk. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Add sugar, vanilla and pecans. Spread on cake while both are hot.
