Ingredients
- Fresh, ripe strawberries (Lots! 2 packages)
- Yellow pudding-in-the-mix cake (and ingredients to make)
- Cool Whip
- Sugar

Step 1
Slice strawberries and cover with sugar. Let them juice. You need lots of juice.
Bake cake in the same pan you want your shortcake in. Cut into rectangles, then slice horizontally. (You are only using the bottom half!)
Layer cake, berries, and juice. Top with Cool Whip and sprinkle with strawberry slices.
