Salted Peanut Chews

Ingredients
- Crust:
- Salted Peanut Chews
- 3 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 ½ c. flour
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- ½ tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- ½ c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 egg yolks
- Topping:
- 2/3 c. corn syrup
- 1/4 c. margarine or butter
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 12 oz. pkg. Peanut butter chips
- 2 c. Rice Krispies
- 1 c. salted peanuts, crushed
- Heat oven to 350 o F.

Preparation
Step 1
Crust: Combine all ingredients at low speed until crumbly. Press firmly into bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. (I line an aluminum pan with tin foil and bake the squares in that. Then just lift the squares out of the pan to cut them. It makes the cutting much, much easier.)
Remove from oven and sprinkle marshmallows over. Return to oven and bake 2 to 3 minutes longer or until the marshmallows begin to puff. Cool while preparing topping.
Topping: In large saucepan, combine all topping ingredients, except cereal and peanuts. Heat until chips are melted and mixture is smooth, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in cereal and peanuts. Immediately spoon topping over the marshmallows, spreading to cover. Refrigerate until firm.
