Ingredients
- 1 stick softened unsalted butter
- 1/3 c. each granulated sugar, packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. natural cocoa (NOT Dutch-process)
- 1/2 tsp. each baking soda, salt
- 1 12 oz. pkg. good chocolate chunk pieces

Step 1
Preheat oven 350 degrees.
Beat butter & sugar in a bowl with a mixer on medium speed until fluffy. Add egg & vanilla; beat.
Sift flour, cocoa, baking soda, & salt into the butter mixture and beat until just combined.
Stir in the chocolate chunks.
Using an ice cream scooper, scoop round balls onto cookie sheet; bake 10-11 min. until cookies are golden brown.
Cool on cookie sheet, 10 min., then transfer to wire racks to finish cooling.
