Simple Portabella Sandwich
- 4 hearty buns or bread (sourdough works well)
- 4 Portabella caps
- Olive oil as needed
- Salt to taste
- Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
- Thyme to taste
- Garlic powder to taste
- 4 slices cheese
Grill or toast bread. Brush mushroom caps with olive oil. Season with salt, pepper, thyme, garlic to taste.
Bake at 375 to 400 degrees until tender, turning once. Place mushroom cap on one slice of bread and cheese on the other, place in oven shortly, until melted and serve.
