- 1 1/4 ounces dried shiitake mushrooms rehydrate as directed
- 3 cups water
- 1 1/3 teaspoons sugar
- 1 1/3 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/3 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with
- 1/3 cup water
Combine all ingredients except cornstarch in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower heat and let simmer for 1/2 hour. The liquid should be cooked down to 2 cups. Thicken with cornstarch mixture. Serve and enjoy.
