Ingredients

  • 16 slices of potato bread, trim & quarter
  • 2 c chopped ham
  • 2 t finely chopped onion
  • 2 c milk
  • 1/2 c melted butter
  • 2 c shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 t salt
  • pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Butter 9x12 baking dish. Layer bread, cheese, ham & onion. Repeat. Pour mixture of eggs, milk, butter, salt & pepper over all. Cover & refrigerate overnight. Cover loosely with foil to bake, place pan in larger pan with 3/4" water and bake for 2 hour at 400 deg. Uncover for the last 15 minutes.
