Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 1 1/2 cups Almonds or Walnuts
  • 6 Tbsp Flour
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg, or to taste
  • 2 Tbsp Margarine
  • Filling:
  • 2 Egg Yolks
  • 18 oz Whipping Cream
  • 12 1/4 oz Good Quality Chocolate
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp Coffee Granules, dissolved in a bit of water

Preparation

Step 1

Crust:
Preheat oven to 350.
Place all crust ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until well mixed.
Pat into a deep pie pan.
Bake for 10 minutes. Cool.

Filling:
In a pot over hot water, place yolks and whip and cook for 8 minutes, whisking from time to time.
Add chocolate and vanilla and mix.
Pour 2/3 onto crust.
Chill until mixture hardens.
Stir dissolved coffee into remaining mixture and pour over 1st layer.
Freeze.
