Cinnamon Sugar Butter Cookies

• Topping:
• 3 T sugar
• 1 T cinnamon
• Cookies:
• 2 1/2 c flour
• 1/2 t baking soda
• 1/4 t salt
• 1 c dark brown sugar
• 1/2 c sugar
• 1 c butter
• 2 eggs
• 2 t vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 300 deg. Combine sugar & cinnamon for topping. Set aside. Combine flour, soda & salt. Mix well with wire whisk. Blend sugars with mixer. Add butter and mix. Add eggs & vanilla. Mix until light and fluffy. Add flour mixture and blend. Do not overmix. Shape dough into 1" balls and roll in cinnamon-sugar topping. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, bake for 18-20 mins. Transfer cookies to a cool, flat surface to cool.
