Sirloin Tips Marsala

- 3 Tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 package (8 oz.) sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1/3 cup chopped shallots (about 2 medium)
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 lb. beef sirloin tip steak, cut into bite-size strips
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup marsala wine or apple juice
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour

Step 1
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the mushrooms, shallots and garlic. Cook, stirring frequently, until the mushrooms are softened, about 5 minutes.
Push the mushroom mixture to the side of the skillet. Add the steak. Cook, stirring frequently, until browned, about 5 minutes. Stir in the broth, wine, parsley, marjoram, pepper, salt and bay leaf. Cover and simmer until the steak is tender, about 30 minutes longer. Remove the bay leaf.
Combine the flour and 2 tbsp. water in a smallbowl. Mix until smooth.Stir into the steak mixture. Cook until thickened,1–2 minutes. Serve.
