- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt, divided
- 1 package (1/4 ounce) quick-rising yeast
- 1/4 cup olive oil, divided
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary or 2 teaspoons dried rosemary

Step 1
Combine the flour, sugar,1/2 tsp. salt and the yeast ina large bowl. Stir in 1 cup warm (120°F-130°F) water and 2 tbsp. oil. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
Cover and let rise in a warm place for 20 minutes. Punch the dough down. Cover and let rise for 20 minutes longer.
Lightly spray a 12-inch round pizza pan with nonstick cooking spray. Punch the dough down and press into the prepared pan. Press indentations over the surface of the dough using a round spoon handle. Spread the remaining oil over the dough. Sprinkle with the rosemary and remaining salt. Cover and let rise for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400°F. Bake the focaccia until golden brown, 20–30 minutes. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Grandma's Secret Tip:
Focaccia can be used to create flavorful sandwiches. Split the loaf horizontally and layer with ham or turkey, cranberry sauce, Swiss cheese, lettuce and sliced red onion. Replace top half and cut into wedges.
