  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 15-ounce container of ricotta cheese
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups seasoned bread crumbs, divided
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • Tomato sauce for dipping

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat 2 inches oil in large pot or deep fryer, until temp. measures 360F.
2. Mix together ricotta and eggs. Add mozzarella cheese, 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs, and garlic powder. Roll cheese about size of golf balls, toss in remaining 1/2 cup bread crumbs. Carefully place in oil. Fry a few at a time, about 1 minute 30 seconds.
3. Drain on plate lined with paper towels. Let cool and eat dipped in sauce if desired.
