Better Than Hostess Cupcakes

Ingredients

• 1 (2 layer) chocolate cake mix
• 1 (8 oz.) pkg.cream cheese
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• Dash salt
• 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips.

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cake mix according to package directions. Put paper baking cups in muffin tins and fill 2/3 full of batter.

In a separate bowl, cream sugar and cream cheese. Beat in egg and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop 1 rounded teaspoon of cheese mixture outo each cupcake. Bake cupcakes as cake mix package directs. Frost with chocolate frosting, if desired
