Ingredients
- PASTRY:
- 5 lb. chicken
- 1 lg onion
- 3 celery tops
- 3 parsley sprigs
- 2 1/2 t salt
- 10 whole black peppers
- 1 bay leaf
- 12 small onions
- 1 t salt
- 1/8 t pepper
- 8 small carrots
- 1/2 c flour
- 1/2 c milk
- 1 pkg mix
- 2 T melted butter
- 3/4 t dried thyme

Preparation
Step 1
Cook chicken with onion, celery, parsley, salt, peppers, bay leaf and 2 c water. Boil. Remove cooked chicken; cut in large pieces. Strain stock; add water to 4 c. Cook carrots and onions 20 min. Strain to 3 c. Combine floud, salt & pepper. Stir in milk. Add to stock to thicken. Put in 3 qt casserole. Top with crust and bake 35-40 mins.
