Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless sirloin steak, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup sherry
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 4 cups cooked egg noodles (8 oz uncooked)
  • 3 tbsp parsley

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat in oil. Remove from pan.

Brown mushrooms and onions in butter for 5 minutes. Add flour and cook for 3 minutes. Add beef broth and sherry and salt and pepper. Add beef and cook for 10 minutes till meat is tender. Remove from heat. Let stand 30 seconds. Stir in sour cream.

Combine parsley and noodles. Serve beef mixture over noodles.
