Ingredients
- FILLING:
- 1/2 cup sweet butter
- 5 Tbsps granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- dash salt
- 1/2 cup sweet butter
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 3 Tbsps granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 lb pecans, chopped
- 3 Tbsps whipping cream

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter, sugar and shortening until smooth and well combined.
Add egg. Stir to blend.
Add remaining ingredients and mix until just well blended. Do not over mix.
Pat dough into a 13 x 9 inch jelly roll pan. Prick with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare filling. In a saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and honey. Bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
Remove from heat. Stir in pecans and whipping cream.
Spread filling over prebaked pastry. Bake at 350 degrees for bout 25 minutes or until dough is done and
filling is lightly brown on top.
Cut in squares to serve.
