Ingredients

  • 1 pound (4 cups) cranberries
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled,cored and diced
  • 1 pear, peeled, cored and diced
  • 1 cup golden raisins
  • 1 cupsugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 Tbsp cognac
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1 tbsp grated orange peel
  • 1/8 tsp freshly groung nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp Couintreau

Preparation

Step 1

In a heavy 3 quart saucepan,combine cranberries, apples, pear, raisins, onion, sugar, orange peel, cinnamon and nutmeg. stir in orange juice.

Bring to boiling over high heat. Reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, until thick, about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in orange liquear and cognac. Cool.
