Cheese Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 (6 oz) jar Old English cheese
• 1 cup 92 sticks0 butter
• 1 tea. salt
• 1/2 tea. cayenne pepper
• 1/4 tea. baking powder
• 2 1/3 cups flour
• 1 cup very finely chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

With mixer, blend cheese and butter. Add salt, cayenne pepper, baking powder and flour and mix well. (Dough will be very stiff). Stir in pecans.

Make 4 logs about 8" long. Wrap in wax paper and chill in refrigerator until ready to bake.

Cut slices1/8" thick and place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes.
