Pork Chops - Sweet & Sour Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 6 Rib Pork Chops, Cut about 3/4 in thick
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light-brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1 med onion - thinly sliced
  • 1 each - medium green and red peppers in thin wedges
  • 1/2 cup seedless rasins
  • 3 tlbs cornstarch
  • 1 can (11 ozs) mandarin oranges, drained and 1/2 cup syrup reserved
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • Hot cooked Rice

Preparation

Step 1

Brown Chops on both sides in large skillet
Season lightly with salt and pepper
Add next 3 ingredients
Cover and simmer 25 mins.
Add vegetables and simmer 8 minutes or until vegetables are done but still crisp
add raisins, cornstarch dissolved in reserved fruit syrup and soy sauce.
Simmer, stirring a few minutes or until thickened and clear
Add mandarin wedges and heat gently
Serve with cooked rice
