Ingredients

  • 1 pkg (8oz) breakfast sausage links
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup A-P flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup crushed bran cereal (nuggets, flakes or squares)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 to 1 1/4 cup sliced apples

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F

1) Cook sausages in medium skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until golden, about 7 minutes; drain on paper toweling.
2) Measure 1 tbsp sausage drippings; place in medium bowl. Add milk, flour, eggs, cereal, sugar and salt; beat until smooth
3) Place oil in 10-inch skillet with oven-proof handle, or in 9-inch square baking pan; tilt skillet to coat bottom evenly. Pour batter into skillet; arrange sausage and appples on batter, spoke-fashion.
4) Bake until pancake is puffed and golden brown, about 40 minutes. Serve immediately.
