Ingredients

  • 1 large onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 Tbs olive oil
  • 2 lbs Venison or Turkey (or beef with no oil)
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 4 tsp cumin seed (not ground)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • Tomato paste
  • Can diced tomatoes
  • VERY large can Ranch Style Beans

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil and brown meat. Drain. Sauté onion, pepper and garlic.
Stir in Chili Powder, cumin, salt, oregano and pepper. Sauté until color is deep red. (About 3 minutes)
Stir in 1 can tomato paste, 1 can diced tomatoes, and water in all cans. Simmer 2 hours
Stir in 1 VERY large Ranch Style Beans and simmer one more hour.

Serve. Best when refrigerated and reheated!
