HERSHEY'S Best Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa or HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Cocoa
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Step 1
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
2. Place butter in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 2 to 2-1/2 minutes or until melted. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well with spoon after each addition. Add cocoa; beat until well blended. Add flour, baking powder and salt; beat well. Stir in nuts, if desired. Pour batter into prepared pan.
3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Frost if desired. Cut into bars. About 36 brownies.

Degree of Difficulty? It says beginners which is true; but if you only learn this one, it will carry you thru the rest of your life! Do yourself a favor and never use a box mix of Brownies, there is no comparison. You want to eat healthy? This recipe is ALL natural. So it's good for you!!
I have been making this recipe for years. It is the easiest and tastiest brownie recipe ever. My kids and their friends request my brownies "because they don't come from a box." Thanks, Hershey's for making this mom a hit!
I made these once for my teen's English class and they were such a hit she's been begged from for them over and over. Considered better than boxed mixes by my tasters. Easy to make--I enjoy making them!
This is awesome! I used to use a brownie mix, but no more! I wanted to add some butterscotch pieces, but unfortunately, I was out. I used 2 cups brown sugar in place of the white and they turned out great! Very moist and terrific flavor. Highly recommended.
EXCELLENT brownies..I lessened the amount of sugar a little and increased the vanilla...but this is the best recipe so far!
My first time trying this recipe and it was very good with the special dark cocoa. It is hard to find the special dark cocoa but it makes the difference to me.
I found this recipe on the back of a container of Hershey's Cocoa. I've never had better brownies. The second time I made this I added a 16 oz bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips. It's a chocolate lover's dream :))
