This is Marcia’s Chicken Divan recipe. This was my favorite meal of all time growing up. I would eat this until my by belly ached :) Love those memories!

Ingredients

  • 1 10 oz frozen broccoli spears (or fresh)
  • 2 chicken breast halves, cooked and diced (or 1 large)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup or more shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • Buttered bread crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

Mix in a bowl: chicken soup and 1 cup mayonnaise, milk, cheese, lemon juice and curry powder. Partially cook broccoli about 2 minutes and drain well. Arrange broccoli in bottom of dish, add chicken and ladle sauce mixture over chicken.

Cover with buttered bread crumbs and bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees until crumbs are brown and sauce is hot and bubbly - about 1 hour.

OR bake, covered, for 45 minutes and then continue to bake, uncovered, until crumbs are brown and sauce is hot and bubbly.
