Ingredients

  • Justin's Barbecue Sauce:
  • 3 (20 inch) link sausages
  • 2 medium-size onions, chopped
  • 3/4 cup melted margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 (24 oz.) jar prepared mustard
  • 1 (4 oz.) bottle liquid smoke
  • 2 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 2 (26 oz.) bottles catsup
  • 1 (7 oz.) bottle worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 cup lemon juice
  • 5 About 5 cups water

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onion in margarine in large saucepan. Add brown sugar, mixing well. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil and simmer over low heat 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Yield: about 4 quarts.

Note: This sauce stores well in the refrigerator and may be used for chicken, ribs, steaks, or hamburgers.
