Ingredients
- BRISKET RUB
- 1/2 cup dried, ground red chile peppers or chili powder
- 1/4 paprika
- 1/4 cup black pepper
- 3 Tbsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
- 1 tea. ground oregano
- SIMPLE BRISKET
- 1 (4-6 lb) trimmed beef brisket
- Brisket Rub
- 1 (1 oz) package onion soup mix
- 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup water

Preparation
Step 1
Mix a rub ingredients. Store in airtight container.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Rub brisket all over with brisket rub and let sit at least 1 hour.
Place brisket in Dutch oven. Spread onion soup mix over top of brisket.
Pour worcestershire sauce in and add about 1 cup water. Cook for 1 hour.
Reduce heat to 300 degrees and cook 3-4 hours or until brisket is tender.
Brisket should be well done and fork tender.
