Basic White Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Corn Starch
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
  • 1 cup Milk



Step 1

Melt butter in a saucepan. Add corn stardh, salt and pepper and blend well. Remove from heat, gradually add milk, mixing until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Makes about 1 cup sauce.
