Also known as Emperor's Rice. This rice has a nutty flavor and is somewhat chewy. Sweet, savory, and indigo in color.

• 1 cup black rice
• 2 cups water

Preparation

Step 1

Place well rinsed rice in pot.

Cover with water and bring to boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook 25 minutes.
