Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
- 16-oz. can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 10-1/2 oz. can French onion soup
- 6-oz. can tomato paste
- 4-oz. can diced green chiles
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 T. chili powder
- 2 t. ground cumin
- 1/2 t. pepper
- 1/8 to 1/4 t. hot pepper sauce
- Garnish: shredded Cheddar cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Add all ingredients except garnish to a 5-quart slow cooker; stir to blend. Cover and cook on low setting for 4 to 6 hours. Spoon into serving bowls and garnish with cheese.
Serves 6 to 8.
