Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
  • 16-oz. can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 10-1/2 oz. can French onion soup
  • 6-oz. can tomato paste
  • 4-oz. can diced green chiles
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 T. chili powder
  • 2 t. ground cumin
  • 1/2 t. pepper
  • 1/8 to 1/4 t. hot pepper sauce
  • Garnish: shredded Cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Add all ingredients except garnish to a 5-quart slow cooker; stir to blend. Cover and cook on low setting for 4 to 6 hours. Spoon into serving bowls and garnish with cheese.
