Spicy Mini-Meatballs

Ingredients
- 1 cup chili sauce
- 1/2 cup tomato juice
- 2 Tbs corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce
- 3/4 lb medium ground beef (or ground veal)
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tsp chili powder
- to taste salt & pepper

Step 1
In a small saucepan, bring chili sauce, tomato juice, corn syrup and Tobasco sauce to a boil. Lower heat and simmer 10-12 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare mini-meatballs.
Mix ground beef, egg, onions, breadcrumbs, chili powder, salt and pepper together and make 35-40 small balls.
In a large non-stick pan, brown mini-meatballs for 2-3- minutes and add them to the hot sauce.
Cook 5 more minutes. Let rest 3-4 minutes. Skewer with toothpicks and serve.
