Ingredients
- Coffee Blonde Brownies
- 2 cups dark brown sugar
- ¾ cup margarine
- 2 tsp instant coffee powder
- 1 Tbsp hot water
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
Heat sugar and butter in saucepan over med-low heat until butter melts. Dissolve coffee in the hot water and add. Cool to room temp.
Preheat oven to 350 F. Butter an 11 x 8 baking pan.
Beat eggs and vanilla into cooled mixture. Stir flour, baking powder, and salt together and stir into butter mixture with a spoon.
Add nuts and choc. chips.
Spread in pan. Bake until lightly browned, 25 - 30 minutes. Don’t over bake. Cool. Cut into squares.
