Ingredients

  • 1/2 C (1stick) butter
  • 2 1 ounce square unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1/2 C flour, sifted
  • 1/2 C chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 C semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Butter an 8 inch square glass pan
Melt butter & unsweetened chocolate.
Combine the butter-chocolate with the sugar, flour, nuts, baking powder and vanilla.
Stir well with a wooden spoon.
Add the eggs & mix thoroughly.
Stir in the cholate chips
Pour the batter into prepared pan & bake for 30-40 min.
Brownies should be moist & chewy. Cool throughly before cutting into 2 " squares.

Wrap in plastic wrap to freeze
