Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups of All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Sticks butter Unsalted
  • 1/3 cup ice water
  • 1 Tablespoon Vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

Put Flour, and Salt into the freezer for 1 hour
Butter should be put in freezer for 1/2 hour (Cube first so that it is ready)
All ingredients should be very cold

Put flour and salt in food processor
blend
add the cold butter cubes and pulse a few times(should form pea size nuggets)
slowly add wet ingredients
put vinegar in 1st slowly and pulse 2 or 3 times
add water a little at a time pulse 3 to 4 times between water adding
do not over wet the dough
Do not over mix check by squeezing small amount of doughto see if it is holding together

Dump dough out onto a floured surface gather into 2 balls flatten each and wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to use at least 1 hour
the rest peroid is godd for the dough

roll dough out 1" wider than pie pan

do not stretch dough fit it to the pan

dock with a fork

for meringue and fruit pies i bake for 12 minutes and fill and follow pie instructions
