Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can (55 ounces) pork and beans
  • 1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (15-1/2 ounces) black-eyed peas, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 5 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In Dutch oven, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Transfer to greased 3-qt. baking dish. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour or until beans reach desired thickness.
