Four-star Macaroni And Cheese Bake

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 2 cups Milk
- 2 1/2 cups Cracker Barrel Cheddar Cheese, divided
- 1/4 cup Kraft 100% Parmesan Grated Cheese
- 3 cups cooked elbow macaroni
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/4 cup soft bread crumbs

Preparation
Step 1
MELT butter in saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour and salt; cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in milk; continue cooking, stirring frequently, until thickened. Add 2 cups of Cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese. Stir until melted.
COMBINE macaroni and cheese sauce and pour into a 6 cup greased baking dish. Top with tomato slices, sprinkle reserved cheese and then breadcrumbs.
BAKE at 350°F 20-25 minutes until slightly golden and bubbling around the edges.
Note: This recipe may be doubled.
Variation
Add ½ tsp. dry mustard powder or 1 tsp. Dijon mustard to cheese sauce. If desired, layer other ingredients (such as crumbled crisp-fried bacon, diced ham, sautéed green and red peppers, sautéed onions, or diced tomatoes) with macaroni.
