Peanut Butter Cookies

These are by far the best I have ever had.
Adding chocolate chips give them an extra layer of flavor.
I usually double this recipe as they don't last long.

Ingredients
- 1 cup SHORTENING
- 1 cup PEANUT BUTTER
- 1 cup SUGAR
- 1 cup PACKED BROWN SUGAR
- 3 EGGS
- 3 cups FLOUR
- 2 tsp. BAKING POWDER
- 1/4 tsp. SALT

Preparation
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, cream shortening, peanut butter, and sugars.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to creamed mixture.
Roll into 1 1/2" balls and place 3" apart on ungreased sheet.
Flatten with sugar dipped fork, if desired.
Bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes, until lightly golden.
Yields 3-4 dozen
