Ingredients
- Rice:
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice (brown’s healthier)
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Beans:
- 1 (16 ounce) can black beans (rinsed & drained)
- chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- chili powder
- onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- salt to taste
- Chicken:
- Oil
- One lime
- Lime juice
- Chicken
- Salt
- Pepper
- Chili powder
- Garlic powder
- Red pepper
- Paprika
- Cilantro or parsley

Step 1
Rice:
So, first, heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat and add rice. Don’t forget to stir until golden. Add the salt, and cumin until tender. Add the broth. Cook for 20 minutes and you are ready to go.
Beans:
In a medium saucepan, combine beans & chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Season with cilantro, cayenne, and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes, and serve.
Chicken:
Let simmer till juice all absorb then brown.
