Ingredients

  • 3/4 margarine softened
  • 1.4 teaspoon basil, oregano and marjoram
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1-16 oz. loaf frozen bread dough
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 slightly beaten egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

Step 1

In small bowl combine margarine, basil, oregano, marjoram and garlic powder. Set aside. On lightly floured surface roll bread dough into a 12" square. Spread margarine mixture evenly over dough, sprinkle with cheese. Fold dough in thirds. With sharp knife cut crosswise into 24 1/2" strips. Twist each strip twice and pinch ends to seal. Place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Cover, let rise about 30 minutes. Combine egg and water, brush over each twist. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
