Jack's Favorite Vanilla Ice Cream

MY NOTES: Do this in TWO batches in my Cuisinart ice cream maker.
Be sure and churn a good long time, until ice cream comes way up to the top opening. This recipe makes EXCELLENT vanilla ice cream....really top quality! Perfect to serve to guests - and really easy to make!

Ingredients
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups half & half

Step 1
In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks. While continuing to beat, gradually add the sugar, vanilla, heavy cream and half & half. Mix until all is well.
"Age" in refrigerator, covered, for at least 4 hours. Process in ice cream maker. Makes slightly more than one quart. Store in a tightly covered container in the freezer.
