Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or pepper jack cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 8 fresh jalapeno peppers; tops, seeds amd membranes removed and discarded
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • Sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

Blend together the cheeses, garlic powder and onion powder.

With a small spoon, fill each prepared jalapeno with cheese mixture.

One at a time, dip jalapeno peppers into beaten egg, then roll them in bread crumbs.

Place on nonstick sheetpan coated with cooking spray. Bake in preheated 359-degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden.

Seve hot with sour cream for dipping.
