Ingredients
- 3-4 pound bottom round beef roast
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups finely chopped onions
- 2 cups finely chopped garlic
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 4 potatoes - cut in half
- 4 large carrots - whole
- salt
- pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Brown beef in vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.
Remove beef and the brown onions and garlic.
Add 1 can beef broth and 1 cup water.
Insert beef and cook for 1 1/2 hours.
Add 4 large potatoes and 4 large carrots.
Cook an additional hour.
