  • 1 cup brown sugar (dark or light)
  • 3 T butter
  • 3 T flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 t vanilla
  • Baked pie shell

Preparation

Step 1

Mix yolks of eggs with milk. Blend sugar, flour, butter and add to milk mixture. Cook in double boiler, stirring constantly to keep smoth until very thick, add vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell, cover with stiffly beaten egg whites beaten with 4 T brn sugar
Brown in a hot oven.
