  • BBQ Sauce:
  • 3 lb pork back ribs, (2 racks)
  • 4 teaspoons mesquite or Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon each, salt and pepper

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 cup wine vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Preparation:
Trim any visible fat from ribs. If necessary, remove membrane from underside. Cut into 2-rib portions.

Stir together mesquite seasoning, salt and pepper; rub all over ribs.

Broil on broiler pan until browned, about 5 mins per side. Transfer to slow cooker.

BBQ Sauce:
In a bowl, whisk together ketchup, vinegar, sugar and worcestershire sauce; scrape over ribs, stirring to coat all over.


Cover and cook on low until tender, about 6 hours.
