Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 1/2 cup pecan pieces
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Combine the butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Beat for one minute.

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating for 30 seconds after each egg.

Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Whisk to combine. Add to the butter and egg mixture alternately with the milk.

Stir in the nuts and chocolate pieces.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto parchment-lined cookie sheets.

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes.
