Absolute Best Syrup Ever!

One reviewer said: "I could taste a slightly "carbonated" aftertaste of the baking soda. I had to refrigerate this syrup and wait until the next morning to reheat it in the microwave - then this baking soda taste was gone. I would recommend preparing this the day before you have guests over."

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp baking soda

Preparation
Step 1
Bring butter, sugar, buttermilk, vanilla extract, corn syrup, and cinnamon to a simmer in a LARGE saucepan (baking soda makes it bubble BIG time!) over medium-high heat.
Once simmering, whisk in baking soda, and cook for 10 seconds before removing from heat. Serve warm.
