Ingredients
- SEASONED FLOUR:
- 2 1/2 - 3 lb. cut up frying chicken
- Crisco for deep frying
- ................................
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 Tbsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
- Combine all ingredients. Set aside.

- CRISPY BATTER:
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 beaten egg yolk
- 3/4 cup water

Step 1
Combine flour and seasonings in a bowl. Combine water and egg yolk. Gradually add to dry ingredients. Heat Crisco to 365°F in deep pan or fryer to a depth of about 2-inches. Moisten chicken pieces. Dip in seasoned flour then into batter then back in flour. Fry in hot Crisco for 15 to 18 minutes or until well browned. Drain on paper.

This was AMAZING!! Me and my brother cooked dinner for our parents, and it was delicious! Although I didn't have paprika, it still came out perfect!! Tasted just like the chicken in restaurants. I would advise this recipe! ;)
I have been looking for a fried chicken recipe that would make my chicken actually looked like fried chicken and i have found it, not only does it look good its tastes good my whole family enjoyed this recipe its now a once a week meal at our house.
I made this fried chicken the other night and my 10 year old son ate 3 pieces of chicken which for him is highly unusual.. And I will definitely fix this again.
This recipe is the bomb. Try it, you will like it.
I can never get my chicken to stay crispy like that! Definitely the best recipe I have tried... amazing!
