Ingredients

  • DRESSING:
  • 12 c (1 head) chopped cabbage
  • 1 red onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 carrots, grated
  • 1 c sugar (1/2 c fructose and 1/4 c white)
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 1 tsp celery seed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 c cider vinegar
  • 3/4 c vegetable oil

Preparation

Step 1

Chop vegetables into a large bowl. Sprinkle with sugar. Allow to set a troom temperature while preparing the vinegar mixture. Mix dressing ingredients in a saucepan and heat to boiling. Remove from heat, stir well, pur over cabbage mixture, and mix well. Refrigerate at least overnight and stir well when ready to serve. This well keep for several days in the refrigerator.
