Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 C long-grain rice
  • 1 lg. onion, chopped (1C)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 TBL cooking oil
  • 1 10 3/4-oz can condensed chicken
  • broth
  • 1 broth can water (1 1/3C)
  • 1 8-oz can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Preparation

Step 1


in 10" skillet over med heat, cook uncooked rice, onion & garlic in hot
oil for 5-7 min or till golden, stirring frequently
carefully add broth, water, tomato sauce & pepper
bring to boiling

transfer hot mix. to 2-qt casserole
cover & bake @350 abt 35 min or till rice is tender & liquid is absorbed
if desired, fluff w/ fork before serving
