Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup unsifted flour
  • 2/3 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tsps vanilla
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 12-oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 14-oz can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat over to 350 degrees.

In large bowl, combine butter, sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, eggs, milk, and 1 ½ tsps vanilla; beat well. Stir in walnuts. Spread in greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

Bake 40 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.

Just before brownies are done, in heavy saucepan, melt chips with sweetened condensed milk and remaining vanilla. Immediately spread over hot brownies.

Chill. Cut into bars.
