Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oven to 450 degrees. In medium bowl, stir all biscuit ingredients just until soft dough forms.
2. Place dough on surface generously dusted with Bisquick mix; gently roll in Bisquick mix to coat. Shape into ball; knead 10 times. Roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut with 2 1/2-inch cutter dipped in Bisquick mix. On ungreased cookie sheet, place biscuits 2 inches inches apart.
3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. While biscuits are baking, in small bowl, beat all glaze ingredients with spoon until smooth. Spread glaze over warm biscuits.
To make drop biscuits, instead of kneading and rolling dough, drop dough by 12 to 15 rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
If you don't have a round biscuit cutter, a glass that's 2 1/2 inches in diameter is a good substitute.
Dried sweetened cranberries can be used in place of the raisins.

I first made this recipe years ago for our play group. Everyone loves these biscuits so much I really should make them more often.
These were easy to make. Simple directions and they out come out so delicious. Moist and yummy.
These biscuits had a very good flavor, I added an extra 1/4 cup raisins. They are a very heavy biscuit, they would be even better if they were a little lighter.
These were SOOO GOOD! But I added more glaze to mine. Who needs hardees when you can make these at home! Next time I'm going to add more raisins.
Made these this morning. I increased the sugar to 3 tbs and the cinnamon to 2 tsps They were excellent!! Even better than the fast food restaurant!!
These are the biscuits that I used to get at a certain fast-food chain BEFORE they changed them! They are teriffic, and I love making and serving these, usually for Sunday mornings. It''s my family''s favorite!
Great recipe! And if your raisins are hard and a little dried out, just soak them in hot water for a minute or two! :)
