  • 4 Cups of flour
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 Tbs baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbs vanilla
  • 1/2 cup milk

Step 1

In a large bowl, add flour, shortening, sugar, salt and baking powder, In separate bowl, beat slightly eggs, milk and vanilla. Add egg mixture to flour mixture until its all picked up, then knead for a few minutes. If it's too soft to handle, add a little more flour. at this point, you may divide dough and add different flavorings and food coloring. Form into cookies, using any shapes you wish. Baked on grease cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Decorate with confectioners sugar icing, sesame seeds, etc.
